Blood Sugar ... Blanc Ecaille :pointr: Please fullview!

Submitting something new makes me feel a bit strange, since I didn't submit anything really serious since months. The fact is that I had a lot of work for university until July, and now that I'm on vacation I just find time to digitally and traditionally work, again.

This picture is about Evil - may you associate it with pain, disease, heartbreak, death, disappointment, loneliness, pollution, sexism, racism - and about how it always ends by contaminating everything, people, nature, feelings, imaginary... Of course, if you're a romantic person. It always does, by obvious means, or more secretly, on the long range, or quickly. Nothing never totally vanishes... Especially not Evil. It is always creeping in the dark, under your bed, inside your head, waiting for the least weakness of yourself.

I didn't think this would turn as personal. To be honest, until this afternoon I thought that this manip was pure crap, absolutely uninteresting - I was even wondering if I would ever keep it or show it anywhere. But in one hour, it had changed in front of my eyes. It had become almost alive, making some feelings I have had inside me for a long time move. So... I decided to give it a chance. Tell me if I was right.

Wow, this is amazing! This is one of the most beautiful manipulations I've seen. It has so much emotion.

Great manipulation, it looks so beautiful and expressive. The original photo seems cool!

ah, a very good manipulation. the cracks on her cheek looks very realistic. i like the statue-of-liberty-theme, with the spikes as a crown. i'm not too fond of the checked pattern, though... maybe you could try the cracks in the background too? or yet more of the torn paper... the checks look too simple, doesn't create enough colour variation to make it interesting.
her makeup is very good, and the white eye really creates a creepy feeling. the sugar-glitter in her hair gives the picture a bit of spice, haha.
excellent work, i like!

The irony is, I was gonna use the same picture for a similar manip (different concept, tho)...
Turned out very nice... very moody, but somehow it looks almost melancholic to me - not quite evil, just... forsaken.

This is the end of now.

Great to see some new image from you ... this manip is totally awesome - the colour tones are so intense and kind of unique - they fit this image and the concept very well ... the cracked skin looks deeply impressive and i especially like her eyes and the long black lines running down her cheeks ... the kind of chess-field texture which is running transparent throughout the image is very nice too ... great idea ... and another small detail which i really like is the typo of the title ... overall another awesome and perfectly executed work dear - far from being crap - believe me ... i love it !!!

:wow: ...
