Remember TASCHEN's Circus book I told you about last year ?

Well, TASCHEN has just published a similar, amazing book about Magic. This impressive book (Hardcover, 29 x 44 cm (11.4 x 17.3 in.), 650 pages, 7 kg) was edited by Noel Daniel, the same woman who edited The Circus book.

Magic, 1400s - 1950s celebrates more than 500 years of the dazzling visual culture of the world's greatest magicians. Featuring more than 1,000 rarely seen vintage posters, photographs, handbills, and engravings as well as paintings by Hieronymus Bosch and Caravaggio among others, this 650-page volume traces the history of magic as a performing art from the 1400s to the 1950s.

Combining sensational images with incisive text, Magic explores the evolution of the magician’s craft, from medieval street performers to the brilliant stage magicians who gave rise to cinematic special effects; from the 19th century's Golden Age of Magic to groundbreaking daredevils like Houdini and the early 20th century's vaudevillians.

After three years of hiatus, La Lune Mauve is finally back online!

Well since 57% of you actually don't what La Lune Mauve is, according to my latest poll, so here you go: La Lune Mauve is a French e-zine about Music, Litterature, Movies and Art.

I created fifteen layouts for the site. Yep, fifteen. And a steampunk container thingee, too.

The website is the result of a long time team work, and I'm extremely proud to have fantastic people by my side to keep it up with this terrific yet time-consuming project. Without their help, I'd have probably given up

The Art section isn't running yet, for we're still working on it. I'll probably get in touch with some of you guys to see if you're interested in interviews/articles/pictures. Feel free to drop a line about who you think should be featured on the site! ^^


La Lune Mauve tees

I also set up a launch party for La Lune Mauve, which happened on January 24th and was absolutely awesome Everybody dressed in purple and black, smiling, getting to know each other, eating and drinking and getting nice goodies.

One of those was the lunemauvian (?!) t-shirt, which I designed for the occasion:

What else?
At the moment I'm working on bringing Aenemya back to life, as well as working on a mono web page displaying my CV and other professional information. For a geek, it feels so good to have my websites back, little by little, you can't imagine!

I think it's TIME I actually get a proper place on the web where to show my recent work. I prefer not to think my portfolio has been down for, let's see, 2 years.

I'm also looking for a position a junior Web project management in Paris, hopefully I'll get employed by Spring, that'd be perfect.

And when I have time, I'll revamp my blog, too, but I'm not in a rush for this. However, it's funny how the design can influence the writing sometimes...

I hope you guys are doing well! I'm not commenting much on dA these days, but I log in every day and keep browsing.

Yay, guess who had her blog design featured in the amazing Japanese magazine Web Designing?
